Turkey-Cheddar Burgers

Hold the bun or serve on your favourite seeded one, these are great when you want a break from red meat burgers. Lower cholesterol than beef, turkey also has a lower ecological footprint meaning you can feel better about your impact on the earth when you eat it. Full of cheddar, you can make them cheesier by throwing on some slices while they are cooking.

Makes 4 medium sized patties

Ingredients:

500g minced turkey

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/3 cup grated cheddar

3/4 tsp salt

1/2 onion (grated)

1 tablespoon neutral oil

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Form into four evenly sized patties.

Heat Grill until oil is close to smoking. Add patties and cook until browned well on one side. Ensure you extend cooking time slightly to allow the ground onion to cook. Flip and allow to cook on the other side add sliced cheese if using.
