Blueberry Almond-Avo Smoothie bowl

If there’s one thing I have learned from living on the Coral Sea, it’s that one should always serve a smoothie in a bowl. A smoothie bowl says “Take me seriously, dress me up, I can handle interpretation,” where a smoothie in a glass says, “Take me as I am.” Either way, smoothies are a great way to start the morning.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries

1/4 cup almond meal

1/2 avocado

1/2 cup coconut cream

1 banana

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tsp cinnamon

Garnish: Sliced fruit, shredded coconut and cacao nibs

Directions:

Add all ingredients to the blender. Add a tablespoon of water to thin if needed. Garnish as desired and serve.
